01 — Who we are
A studio of one, not an agency of ten.
EB Web Services UK is a sole-trader studio in Manchester. That means no agency overhead baked into your quote, no junior handed your project after the pitch, and no waiting three days for an account manager to relay a question. You get direct access to the person who designs and builds the thing.
02 — The pricing argument
Great design shouldn't need a six-figure budget.
Most UK agencies quote £3,000–£8,000 for a small business site and then attach a monthly retainer to it. We build to the same standard for a fraction of that, with a fixed quote up front and maintenance you only pay for when you use it — £13 an hour, or £100 for a full day.
03 — Mobile first, properly
Most of your visitors will never see the desktop version.
Roughly two thirds of UK web traffic is mobile, so that is where the design starts — not where it gets squashed at the end. Every build is tested on real devices for tap targets, safe areas, reduced motion and one-handed reach before it goes anywhere near a launch date.

The questions everyone opens with.
Websites start at £150 for a three-page build. A five-to-six page bespoke site runs £250–£400, larger sites with a full backend are £400–£800, and a website paired with a native Android app is £800–£1,400. Every quote is fixed before work starts and held for 30 days.
A three-page site is usually live within one to two weeks. Bespoke five-to-six page builds take two to four weeks, and larger platforms with a backend take four to eight weeks. The clock depends far more on how quickly content and feedback come back than on the build itself.
Yes. On final payment, all bespoke code and design assets created for your project transfer to you outright. There is no licence to renew and nothing is held hostage.
Maintenance is pay as you go at £13 per hour, or £100 for a full day of eight hours. There is no retainer, no minimum spend and no monthly fee — you only pay when you actually need work doing.
No. The studio is based in Manchester and works with clients across the UK and internationally — current live projects include clients in London, Nigeria and Australia. Everything runs over email, video calls and shared Figma files.
Hosting is included at no extra cost on every package. It runs on the same infrastructure the studio uses for its own site, so there is no separate hosting bill to set up and nothing to configure at your end. If you would rather host it yourself, or already have a provider, that is fine too — you own the code and it will run anywhere.
Next.js, React and TypeScript for anything that needs to scale, Supabase for databases and authentication, and hand-written semantic HTML and CSS where a site should stay light. WordPress is offered when a client genuinely needs it — the tool is chosen to fit the job, not the trend.
